Note A layer of scent
Top Notes: Scents immediately noticable
Middle Notes: The heart note, main scent
Base Notes: Most long lasting of notes
Fragrance Families: A grouping of similar scents
Longevity: How long the scent is noticable after applying to skin
Concentration: Ratio of fragrance to carrier oil.
Gourmand: Food related scents
Ozonic: An airy, atmospheric scent
Powdery: A light and soft scent. A subfamily of Ozonic.
Leather: A rich, warm fragrance note that mimics the smell of leather. A subfamily of Animalic.
Resinous: Plant based scents akin to tree resin
Animalic: Scents based on or mimic animals
Smokey: Scent that mimics smoke. An Atmospheric note.
Aquatic: Water scents. A subfamily of Ozonic.
Green: Natural green, plants scents
Spicy: Spice scents; often in cooking. A subfamily of Gourmand.
Sweet: A pleasant scent that is light. A subfamily of Gourmand.
Accord A lblend of scents.
